Solon to buy solar cells worth 1 bln eur from ersol Solar Energy

FRANKFURT (Thomson Financial) - Solon AG fuer Solartechnik has agreed to buy solar cells worth 1 bln eur from ersol Solar Energy AG over a period of eleven years from 2009.

The deal raises its contractually secured supplies of solar cells from major solar cell manufacturers over the coming years to about 3 bln eur, Solon said in a statement.
