SHANGHAI (XFN-ASIA) - China will offer 3.0 bln usd in loans with favorable provisions to African countries over the next three years, and will also double aid and interest rate-free loans during the period, the Ministry of Commerce said.The loans will help African nations build infrastructure, equipment and manufacturing plants, and promote joint ventures and cooperation between the two nations, the ministry said in a statement on its website.The Chinese government may also implement debt waivers for the least developed African countries, the statement added.(1 usd = 7.8 yuan)qionghui.feng@xinhuafinance.com
