NORTHFIELD, Ill. (AFX) - Food maker Kraft Foods Inc. said Monday it elected Ajay Banga to its board of directors.Banga, 47, is chairman and chief executive of Citigroup's global consumer group international business. Before joining Citigroup in 1996, Banga worked at PepsiCo, Inc. in its restaurants division and was a management trainee with Nestle.Kraft said its board now has ten members.Kraft shares rose 24 cents to $34.78 in morning trading on the New York Stock Exchange.Copyright 2006 Associated Press.
