WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (AFX) - Krispy Kreme Doughnuts Inc., the troubled maker of the tasty treat, said Monday it was current with its SEC filings.The company said it filed its quarterly report for the fiscal quarter ended Oct. 31, the third quarter of the 2005 fiscal year, with the Securities and Exchange Commission.The company also recently filed reports for the first, second and third quarters of fiscal 2007, bringing it up to date with its SEC filing obligations.The numbers come just in time for the company's annual meeting of shareholders on Jan. 31. A former stock market darling, Krispy Kreme stumbled badly three years ago as the company expanded during the height of the low-carbohydrate diet craze.Copyright 2006 Associated Press.
