Taiwan new labor pension fund begins stock investment - report

TAIPEI (XFN-ASIA) - The government-run labor pension fund generated through a new scheme has given 30 bln twd to ten securities investment trust fund companies to invest in the stock market , which they have recently begun to do, the Economic Daily News reported.

Citing Labor Pension Fund Supervisory Committee deputy chairwoman RC Lee, the daily said the government expects an annual investment return of 12 pct.
