BWIN unit lodges lawsuit against German state over online gaming services rights |

VIENNA (Thomson Financial) - Bwin e.K., in which Austria's BWIN Interactive Entertainment AG holds a 50 pct interest, has lodged a lawsuit against the German state of Baden-Wuerttemberg with the aim of having its right to facilitate online gaming services confirmed, the administrative court in Stuttgart said in a press release.In its lawsuit, bwin e.K. claims that the German state treaty on gaming, which is scheduled to come into effect at the start of 2008, is unconstitutional and violates fundamental freedoms established by the EU law.peter.klopf@thomson.compkl/rfwCOPYRIGHTCopyright Thomson Financial News Limited 2007.
