Emerson Process wins Seattle water deal

PITTSBURGH, Penn. (AP) - Emerson Process Management said Monday that it signed a 10-year, multimillion dollar deal to automate water treatment plants in Seattle, Wash.

The company, a subdivision of Emerson Electric Co., said it will supply equipment at three waste water treatment plants.

The deal, with Washington state's King County, will help maintain environmental compliance in an ecologically-conscious area, the company said.

Emerson Electric's shares rose 13 cents to $51.52.
