NEW YORK (AP) - A vice chairman of Bank of New York Mellon Corp. exercised options for 43,000 shares of common stock, according to a Securities and Exchange Commission filing.In a Form 4 filed with the SEC Friday, James Palermo reported he exercised options for the shares Wednesday for $23.19 to $29.66 apiece and then sold all of them the same day for $46.58 to $46.85 apiece.Insiders file Form 4s with the SEC to report transactions in their companies' shares.
