NEW YORK (Thomson Financial) - Mentor Graphics Corp. late Thursday reported a third-quarter operating loss of $11.6 million, or 10 cents a share.Excluding certain items, the company posted a loss of $344,000, or break even, missing the 4 cent-a-share mean profit estimate of analysts polled by Thomson Financial.Revenue fell to $186.3 million, below Wall Street's consensus view of $190.5 million. The company cited revenue timing issues on certain key orders for the weak results.In the same period a year earlier, the company earned $4.6 million, or 3 cents a share, on revenue of $190.6 million.The Wilsonville, Ore.-based electronic hardware design company said it expects fiscal 2008 net earnings of 50 cents a share on revenue of $860 million.
