PARIS (Thomson Financial) - A Lagardere spokesman confirmed that the group's chief executive Arnaud Lagardere was questioned today by French stock market regulator AMF, as part of a probe into alleged insider trading at European aeronautics and defence group EADS.The spokesman said Arnaud Lagardere gave evidence at the AMF's offices between 9.00 am and 5.45 pm, reiterating his denial of any insider trading by either himself or his group.AMF is investigating the sale of shares by EADS executives and shareholders Lagardere and DaimlerChrysler, shortly before major delays were announced last year for the A380 superjumbo. The Lagardere spokesman's comments confirm earlier press reports that Arnaud Lagardere was to appear before the AMF today, following similar questioning last week of former co-chairman Manfred Bischoff and current chief operating officer Jean-Paul Gut.tfn.paris@thomson.comafp/gt/cmlCOPYRIGHTCopyright AFX News Limited 2007.
