NEW YORK (AP) - Women's apparel designer Liz Claiborne Inc. said Friday President Trudy Sullivan is leaving to become president and chief executive of Talbots Inc., effective Aug. 6.Sullivan, 57, worked for Liz Claiborne for six years and has also been an executive with J. Crew.Liz Claiborne will eliminate the position of president. It is conducting a search for an executive vice president of its newly formed Partnered Brands division as part of an ongoing restructuring program.At Talbots, Sullivan replaces Arnold B.
