Boeing gets $2.01B Air Force deal |

WASHINGTON (AP) - The U.S. Air Force on Friday awarded a $2.01 billion contract to a unit of Boeing Co. for engineering services on the wings for the A-10 Thunderbolt aircraft fleet.Boeing subsidiary McDonnell Douglas Corp. will also build and deliver 242 wings for the A-10, a single-seat, twin-engine jet aircraft. The Air Force did not specify how many aircraft would receive engineering services.The company is expected to complete the work by May 2007.Shares of Boeing rose $1 to $96.16.Copyright 2007 Associated Press.
