AMSTERDAM (Thomson Financial) - Royal Ahold NV said it will delist itself from the New York Stock Exchange and deregister with the Securities and Exchange Commission. The supermarket group argued that the single listing on the Amsterdam Euronext stock exchange will cut costs for the company.Ahold hopes to complete the NYSE delisting process sometime in September.Ahold's American Depository Receipts (ADRs) will continue to be traded over-the-counter in the US, the company added.By Kaj Leers, kaj.leers@thomson.comkel/jfrCOPYRIGHTCopyright AFX News Limited 2007.
