Greeces OTE H1 net rises 25.1 pct to 277.5 mln eur, in line |

ATHENS (Thomson Financial) - Greek telecom incumbent Hellenic Telecomms (OTE) said that its first half year group net profits rose 25.1 pct to 277.5 mln eur on solid mobile operations even though Greek fixed line revenues are under pressure.The result is in line with consensus expectations under a Thomson analyst poll which had forecasts for net profits up 26 pct to 280 mln eur.Six month revenues were up 8.6 pct year on year to 3.059 bln eur also in line with forecasts of 3.061 bln eur.Operating income was up 10.2 pct to 513.1 mln eur and operating income before depreciation and amortization was up 5.2 pct to 1.083 bln eur.nick.skrekas@thomson.comns/slmCOPYRIGHTCopyright AFX News Limited 2007.
