MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Medical device maker Medtronic Inc. said Thursday it launched its remote monitoring device for patients with heart devices in Europe after receiving European regulatory approval.The Medtronic CareLink Network with Conexus Wireless Telemetry is used to remotely monitor patients. The device can be programmed to automatically transmit patient and device data on potentially deadly disease progression from an implanted heart device.Shares of Medtronic fell 55 cents to $52.59 in morning trading.Copyright 2007 Associated Press.
