FRANKFURT (AFX) - Merck KGaA's Merck Serono business announced the launch of electronic growth hormone injection device easypod for administering the company's hormone deficiency therapy Saizen (somatropin).'This is a significant advance in our patient drug device portfolio that will support our efforts to improve patient treatment and will distinguish us from existing injection devices,' said head of the company's endocrinology therapeutic area Hans Christian Rohde.Merck acquired Swiss biotech company Serono SA for 10.6 bln eur in 2006.krysia.diver@afxnews.comkd/jrCOPYRIGHTCopyright AFX News Limited 2006.
