TOKYO (Thomson Financial) - Japan's unemployment rate stood at 4.0 percent in October, unchanged from the previous monthas economists had forecast, government data showed Friday.The male jobless rate also stayed at 4.0 percent last month, while the female unemployment rate declined to 3.9 percent from 4.0 percent, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications said.The unemployment rate fell to a low of 3.6 percent in July, the lowest since February 1998.(1 US dollar = 109.80 yen)kaori.kaneko@thomson.comyas/msCOPYRIGHTCopyright Thomson Financial News Limited 2007.
