CLEARFIELD, Utah (AP) - Defense contractor Northrop Grumman Corp. on Friday said it received a contract valued at $176 million from the U.S. Air Force to continue to provide services for the Intercontinental Ballistic Missile Propulsion Replacement Program.The 23-month contract is to continue to replace aging solid-rocket motor sets in the Minuteman III weapons system with remanufactured motors before they age out.Under the option, Northrop Grumman will deliver 56 motor sets, each of which is comprised of stage 1, stage 2 and stage 3 and interstage rocket motors.Shares of Northrop Grumman rose $1.70, or 2.2 percent, to $78.79 Friday.Copyright 2007 Associated Press.
