BT TV service attracts 5,000 customers in four months - report

LONDON (AFX) - BT Group PLC has secured just 5,000 subscribers for its fledgling television service in the first four months, the company told the Financial Times.

Up to 40 pct of subscribers are BT employees, according to Morgan Stanley, which has described the number as 'evidence of low take up'.

Launched last December, BT does not plan a marketing campaign until the Spring. The company said the numbers were in line with its expectations.
