Canadian Solar starts building east China solar panel making plant |

BEIJING (XFN-ASIA) - Canadian Solar Inc (NASDAQ: CSIQ) said it has begun construction of a new facility to manufacture solar modules (panels) in the eastern Chinese city of Changshu.Once completed, the plant will have the capacity to produce solar panels able to generate up to 250 MW of electricity.Financial details of the project were not provided.CSI is incorporated in Canada and conducts all of its manufacturing operations in China.andrew.pasek@xinhuafinance.com
