SEC economist returns to Carnegie Mellon |

PITTSBURGH (AP) - Government economist Chester Spatt has returned to his job on the faculty at Carnegie Mellon University.Spatt has spent three years serving as chief economist and director of the Office of Economic Analysis at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.Spatt came to CMU in 1979 and resumed his role Tuesday at CMU, where he also will serve as director of the school's Center for Financial Markets.'I am excited to be returning to the Tepper School at Carnegie Mellon, which has historically had such an important impact on financial economics and our markets,' Spatt said.
