Ducks cap season ticket sales

ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) - The Stanley Cup champion Anaheim Ducks have capped season ticket sales at 15,000 and opened a waiting list for all future orders.

The team made the move to give fans a chance to purchase single-game tickets for the upcoming season. Those tickets go on sale Sept. 15.

'We have decided to cap season seat sales in order to be able to continue to give fans the opportunity to watch our sport in person,' Ducks executive vice president Tim Ryan said.

At the start of last season, the Ducks had sold more than 11,000 season ticket packages.

The Ducks will open the 2007-08 season having sold out 34 consecutive games. They sold out 25 regular-season games last season, the most since 1997-98. Their average attendance of 16,377 and 95.4 percent capacity were also the highest since that year.
