WASHINGTON (AP) - UnitedHealth Group Inc., the nation's second-largest health insurer, spent more than $2.3 million in the first half of 2007 to lobby the federal government, according to a disclosure form.The company lobbied on electronic medical records, bills related to drug prices, children's health insurance and other matters.The Minnetonka, Minn.-based company lobbied Congress, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, the Health and Human Services Department and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp., according to the form posted online Aug. 14 by the Senate's public records office.Under a federal law enacted in 1995, lobbyists are required to disclose activities that could influence members of the executive and legislative branches.
