HANNOVER (AFX) - IG Metall trade union said it will demand a wage increase of 6-7 pct for around 70,000 workers in the metal and electronics industry in Lower Saxony.The union's wage commission in Lower Saxony has reached this decision today ahead of the first round of wage bargaining talks scheduled for March 19.Wage bargaining talks are normally conducted on a regional basis.marilyn.gerlach@afxnews.comdp/mog/ambCOPYRIGHTCopyright AFX News Limited 2006.
