- AstraZeneca and Palatin Technologies announced a global research and licensing collaboration deal to develop obesity treatments.The collaboration, the second announced today by AstraZeneca, will see the two companies working to develop and commercialise small molecule compounds that target melanocortin receptors.Under the terms of the deal, Palatin will receive an upfront paymentof 10 mln usd from AstraZeneca, potential milestone payments totaling 300 mln usd and stepped royalties on product sales.AstraZeneca will be responsible for product commercialisation and various development costs.newsdesk@afxnews.comabrCOPYRIGHTCopyright AFX News Limited 2006.
