Elixir Petroleum in advanced negotiations for farmout on block 211/8b

LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Elixir Petroleum Ltd said it is in advanced negotiations for farmout on the block 211/8b, adding several companies are also possible farminees for block 211/18b.

The company said it is confident that the well can be drilled next year.

Elixir Petroleum also said that within the block 21/16b it is now focusing on an 'interesting' Jurassic prospect.

The company holds a 56 pct interest in the block 211/18b, an 80 pct in the block 211/8b and a 40 pct interest in the block 21/16b.
