Media General ups dividend by 5 percent

RICHMOND, Va. (AFX) - Media General, a multimedia company with newspapers, TV stations and online enterprises, on Wednesday declared a quarterly dividend of 23 cents, up 5 percent from the previous amount.

The company will pay the dividend on March 15 to Class A and Class B shareholders of record Feb. 28.
