Bare Escentuals third-quarter profit tops consensus estimate by a penny |

SAN FRANCISCO (Thomson Financial) - Bare Escentuals Inc. late Wednesday reported third quarter net earnings of $20.5 million, or $22 cents a share, above the 21-cent mean estimate of analysts polled by Thomson Financial.In the same period last year, the San Francisco-based maker of cosmetics and skin care products posted a net profit of $8.88 million, or 12 cents a share.Revenue in the quarter ended Sept. 30 rose 29% to $126.6 million, above the $125 million consensus estimate.Bare Escentuals reaffirmed its fiscal 2007 earnings forecast of 89 cents to 94 cents a share.For fiscal 2008, the company forecast earnings of $1.13 to $1.18 a share on sales growth of roughly 20% to 25%.
