SAN FRANCISCO (Thomson Financial) - Smith Micro Software Inc. after Wednesday's closing bell reported adjusted third-quarter earnings of $6.68 million, or 21 cents a share, in line with the mean estimate of analysts polled by Thomson Financial.During the year earlier, adjusted earnings were $4.31 million, or 17 cents a share.The Aliso Viejo, Calif.-based developer of software for the wireless market posted net earnings of $472,000, or 2 cents a share, compared with $2.45 million, or 9 cents a share, last year.Net revenue came in at $20.4 million, ahead of the consensus estimate of $20.1 million.
