WASHINGTON (AP) - JPMorgan Chase & Co. won federal approval to open 10 bank branches, a government agency said Wednesday.The Treasury Department's Office of the Comptroller of the Currency said in a weekly bulletin that JPMorgan's requests were approved Oct. 23.Two of the new branches will be in Dallas, two will be in New York City, and the others will be in: Lehi, Utah; Ramsey, N.J.; Lafayette, Colo.; Thornton, Colo.; Colorado Springs, Colo.; and Littleton, Colo.The agency also said it received three applications Oct. 22 and Oct. 23 from the New York-based bank to open additional branches. If approved, they will be located in: New York City; Port Jefferson, N.Y.; and Ann Arbor, Mich.JPMorgan shares rose 30 cents to $46.24 in late afternoon trading Wednesday.Copyright 2007 Associated Press.
