NEW YORK (Thomson Financial) - Mylan Inc. Monday said it had received final approval of a new drug application for Balsalazide Disodium capsules, a treatment for ulcerative colitis, from the Food and Drug Administration.The capsules are a generic form of Salix Pharmaceuticals's Colazal product.Mylan, a Pittsburgh-based pharmaceutical company, expects to begin shipping the product immediately.Shares of Mylan closed Friday at $14.05.Ryan Vlastelicarv/mbCOPYRIGHTCopyright Thomson Financial News Limited 2007.
