NEW YORK (AP) - The president of Bear Stearns Cos., an investment bank, exercised options for 161,662 shares of stock, according to a Securities and Exchange Commission filing Thursday.In a Form 4 filed with the SEC, Alan Schwartz reported he exercised options Dec. 21 at no cost as part of a compensation plan and sold 67,900 shares the same day for $89.01 apiece.Insiders file Form 4s with the SEC to report transactions in their companies' shares.
