Alliant Techsystems wins $26M Army deal

WASHINGTON (AP) - The U.S. Army on Friday announced a $26.2 million contract award to Alliant Techsystems Inc., which makes weapons and space systems devices, for the manufacture and delivery of 120mm mortar cartridges.

Work is expected to be completed by June 30, 2008, according to the Army.

Shares of Alliant added 5 cents to $87.97 in aftermarket activity after sliding 30 cents to close at $87.92 on the New York Stock Exchange.
