Indesit to invest 80 mln eur in new Polish appliance factory |

WARSAW (Thomson Financial) - Italian household appliance group Indesit is set to invest 80 mln eur in building a washing-machine and dishwasher factory in Poland, the Polish economics ministry said.The plant in the central city of Radomsko should be operational in 2008, the ministry said.The facility is to be built in a special economic development zone, where investors gets tax breaks.Indesit, which expects to employ 1,500 people at the new site, will also receive 11.5 mln zlotys in public funds destined to help job-creation in Poland.The Italian group has already invested 120 mln eur in Poland, where it owns two plants producing refrigerators and cookers in the central city of Lodz.tf.TFN-Europe_newsdesk@thomson.comafp/ms1/cmlCOPYRIGHTCopyright AFX News Limited 2007.
