Bayer CropScience says it is buying Stoneville for 310 mln usd from Monsanto

LEVERKUSEN, Germany (Thomson Financial) - Bayer AG said its Bayer CropScience unit has reached a deal to acquire Stoneville from Monsanto for 310 mln usd.

The acquisition would help Bayer expand its cotton seedling business in the fast growing US market, it said.

The deal is subject to approval by US cartel authorities.
