(AP) - The following recalls have been announced:--About 10,000 remote controls sold with Insignia 100W DVD Compact Shelf System, retailed by Best Buy Co., because the product can overheat and create a burn hazard if the batteries are put in backward, with the positive and negative sides improperly switched. Best Buy has received one report of the product overheating. The white remote control has black numbers and letters on its keypad. Model number NS-A1113 and 'Insignia' is printed on the front of the product. The remote controls were sold only with the Insignia 100W DVD Compact Shelf System, not separately.The remote was sold at Best Buy stores nationwide and online through bestbuy.com and bestbuybusiness.com from May 2006 through January 2007. Consumers can contact Best Buy for a free replacement remote. The company has received four reports of hand burns and seven reports of minor fires, smoke and soot damage.The following models of Everlasting Jelly candles are included in the recall: a champagne glass with a heart inside, model number 502; an oval bowl with sand and shells inside, model number 109-XL; a tumbler with sand and shells inside, model number 101-S; a round holder with scalloped top and red roses inside, model number 506; a round holder with penguins inside, model number 604; a tumbler with blue roses and leaves inside, model number 805-11; and a round holder with two butterflies inside, model number 806-8.The candles were sold at Spa at Home stores around the country and on http://www.spaathome.combetween October and December 2003 and October and December 2005.
