ECB Bancorp declares quarterly dividend

ENGELHARD, N.C. (AP) - ECB Bancorp Inc., the holding company for the East Carolina Bank, said Wednesday that shareholders will get a quarterly dividend of 17.5 cents per share.

The dividend will be payable on April 16 to shareholders of record on April 2.

In another announcement, the company said it's converting a loan office into a full service branch in the second quarter. It is also building two new branches in Greenville, N.C. scheduled to open in the third quarter.

Shares of ECB Bancorp remained unchanged at $32.26 on the Nasdaq Stock Market.
