Taiwan's Acer, AU say yet to get any notice on Honeywell's reported patent suit

TAIPEI (XFN-ASIA) - Acer Inc (2353.TW) and AU Optronics Corp (2409.TW) have yet to receive any notice of a patent infringement lawsuit reportedly filed by against them by US-based Honeywell International Inc, the two companies said in separate filings to the stock exchange.

The companies were responding to an Apple Daily report that named them as among the targets for a Honeywell suit over infringement of patented technology for making thin-film-transistor liquid crystal display panels.

In today's trade, Acer closed up 1.00 twd at 66.00 while AU Optronics was down 0.30 at 48.00. (1 usd = 33.10 twd)
