Investec says on track for strong FY on good H2

LONDON (AFX) - Investec PLC, the UK-listed South African financial service group, said it is on track to deliver a strong performance for the full year after experiencing continuing strong growth in net interest income, fees and commissions in the second half.

'Whilst financial market conditions remain volatile we are continuing to benefit from increased brand recognition and penetration in our core activities and geographies,' chief executive Stephen Koseff said in a statement.

The company will declare its results for the year ending March 31 on May 17.
