China B-shares close lower on profit-taking |

SHANGHAI (XFN-ASIA) - B-shares in Shanghai and Shenzhen closed lower on profit-taking after recent strong gains, dealers said.The Shanghai B-share Index was down 25.18 points at 340.47 on turnover of 9.47 bln usd and the Shenzhen B-share Index was down 11.30 points at 737.02 on turnover of 2.95 bln hkd.The FTSE/Xinhua China B 35 Index was down 451.15 points at 10,490.16.The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index, which covers both A- and B-shares listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange, closed up 38.15 points, or 0.94 pct, at a record 4,110.38, after moving between 4,086.83 and 4,136.63.Turnover rose to 233.09 bln yuan from 209.60 bln in the previous session.(1 usd = 7.67 yuan; 7.8 hkd)lake.xu@xinhuafinance.com
