CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AFX) - Home furnishings retailer IKEA says it's coming to Charlotte.Official word is expected Wednesday morning.A statement from the popular European-retailer issued late Tuesday said construction on a Charlotte store could begin as early as this fall, pending city approval, with a possible opening in spring 2009. The exact location of the store was not disclosed.The store will be the Swedish-based chain's first in the Carolinas.
