REFILE GlaxoSmithKline's breast cancer pill Tyverb gets Swiss approval

LONDON (Thomson Financial) - GlaxoSmithKline PLC said its breast cancer pill Tyverb has received marketing approval from the Swiss regulatory authority, Swissmedic.

The world's second-biggest drug maker said it is on track to launch the drug across Europe in the second half of the year, pending further regulatory clearances. The company is still waiting for the green light from the European Medicines Agency.

The drug was approved in the US last month, where it will be marketed as Tykerb.
