Anti-trust regulators fine Hyundai Motor 23 bln won for unfair trading

SEOUL (XFN-ASIA) - South Korea's fair trade watchdog has fined Hyundai Motor for unfair trading.

The Fair Trade Commission imposed a fine of 23 bln won on Hyundai Motor for setting excessive sales targets on dealers and forcing them to extend their contracts.

The fine is the second largest imposed by the commission after a 33 bln won penalty for US software giant Microsoft in 2005 for bundling programs with its Windows operating systems.
