Geberit FY sales beat forecasts; hikes net guidance, proposes 10-for-1 shr split |

JONA, Switzerland (AFX) - Geberit AG, the Swiss sanitary installations maker, reported forecast-beating full year sales, hiked its full year net profit guidance and announced a ten-for-one share split.Geberit said sales in 2006 rose to 2.184 bln sfr, up from 1.923 bln a year earlier, citing strong growth in its European main markets of 14.6 pct.Analysts surveyed by AFX had forecast sales of between 2.120-2.149 bln sfr, or 2.134 bln on average.Geberit said it now expects full year net profit of 350 mln sfr, after guiding for 330 mln previously.The company also said it still sees a 'substantial' increase in its operating margin and earnings per share.
