Paris shares AFX at a glance outlook

PARIS (AFX) - Shares are expected to open higher as continued M&A talk keeps the market buoyant despite Wall Street's decline Friday, dealers said.

On Friday, the CAC-40 index finished up 8.52 points or 0.15 pct at 5,716.38, on volume of 5.9 bln eur.

On the Matif, March CAC-40 futures were trading up 12.0 points or 0.21 pct at 5,738.5 ahead of the official opening.

The euro was quoted at 1.3178 usd, against 1.3169 late Friday.
