Lufthansa takes over, modifies 'Swiss' order for 30 Emabraer jets

LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Embraer said it has agreed to sell Deutsche Lufthansa AG 30 of its 190 jets, with deliveries starting in 2009.

The order supersedes an existing deal between Embraer and Lufthansa's Swiss International Air Lines unit for 15 170s and 15 195s.

It is expected to close in the coming, the Brazilian plane manufacturer said. No financial details were reported.
