China B-shares close higher; blue chips rise |

SHANGHAI (XFN-ASIA) - B-shares in Shanghai and Shenzhen closed higher, with blue chips boosted by hopes for earnings growth this year, dealers said.The Shanghai B-share Index was up 1.89 points to 201.13 on turnover of 948.24 mln usd and the Shenzhen B-share Index was up 3.05 points at 562.95, a fresh closing high, on turnover of 983.17 mln hkd.The FTSE/Xinhua China B 35 Index was up 27.04 points at 7,630.12.The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index, which covers both A- and B-shares listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange, closed up 0.53 points, or 0.01 pct, at 3,612.40, a new closing high, after moving between 3,564.23 and 3,623.87.Turnover fell to 167.42 bln yuan from 176.11 bln in the previous session.(1 usd = 7.73 yuan; 7.8 hkd)lake.xu@xinhuafinance.com
