COPENHAGEN (Thomson Financial) - Danish shares were marginally higher in midmorning led up by GN Store Nord, dealers said.At 10.15 am, the OMXC20 index was up 0.57 points at 481.38 while the OMXCB Benchmark index gained 0.45 points to 460.46.GN Store Nord was up 2.50 dkr at 65.00 after Phonak's chief executive Valentin Chapero said there is a good possibility its acquisition of GN Store Nord's hearing aid business Resound, previously blocked by the German cartel office, will go through, analysts said.DS Torm, trading ex dividend of 11.50 dkr per share, was down 5.50 dkr at 397.50. The group said it and US company Teekay have signed an agreement to acquire American shipping company OMI for a total sum of 1.8 bln usd excluding net interest-bearing debt estimated at 400 mln usd.The agreement was unanimously approved and recommended by OMI's board of directors, and the company will be taken over by Torm and Teekay during the coming months, said Torm.AP Moller Maersk was flat at 62,500 dkr. Jyllandsposten said the group has not been chosen to run two new ports in Brisbane, Australia.According to RB Boersen however, AP Moller said it has never been involved in any bidding for the deal, which was won by Hong Kong based Hutchinson.Among other shares, Novo Nordisk was up 6.00 dkr at 543.00, NKT Holding gained 4.50 dkr to 472.00, Sydbank added 4.50 dkr to 303.00 and Vestas Wind Systems shed 1.00 dkr to 339.00.gustav.sandstrom@thomson.comgs/jlcCOPYRIGHTCopyright AFX News Limited 2007.
