SAM CLEMENTE, Calif. (AP) - Medical device maker ICU Medical Inc. on Wednesday said earnings grew 54 percent in the first quarter, although revenue was flat.Net income totaled $9.8 million, or 63 cents per share, compared with $6.4 million, or 41 cents per share, during the same period last year. The recent quarter includes a benefit of 34 cents per share from a legal settlement.Revenue was flat at $48.8 million. Custom medical products sales grew 28 percent.Analysts polled by Thomson Financial expected net income of 49 cents per share.Shares fell 55 cents to close at $41.93 on the Nasdaq Stock Market.Copyright 2007 Associated Press.
