PARIS (Thomson Financial) - Electrical equipment distributor Rexel said sales jumped 31 pct to 2.576 bln eur in the first quarter from 1.967 bln a year earlier, lifted by 545 mln eur in revenues from newly-acquired operations plus 5.9 pct in like-for-like growth.North American sales fell 0.4 pct on a comparable basis but the decline was offset by an 11.5 pct like-for-like increase in Europe and a 13.2 pct surge in the company's Asia-Pacific region.Andrew.Newby@Thomson.comanCOPYRIGHTCopyright AFX News Limited 2007.
